Disagree with the embellishment rule, though. Hate divers, and as we see with too many players, they have lost respect for themselves and the game. I’d call the the dive and skip the infraction.

I’d also eliminate the instigator rule. As we see in life as with hockey, some people just need a good punch in the mouth. It kind of resets the attitude of the selfish and disrespectful.

Lastly, I wholeheartedly agree with eliminating shootouts! It’s a team game!! That being said, I don’t think the NHLPA would agree to 10min OT’s, Maybe 7, then a tie. Seems a bit much to ask of your best players to play that much OT, especially on back to back nights, or worse, three in four nights. If the players like the idea, I’m all for it. Just get rid of the damn shootout. Friggin awful!
